Oh, the things I've forgotten!

I know I will forget to check my blog - not sure anyone reads it anyway - but will post December's events now - or at least the commemoration of birthdays and anniversaries that abound!

It was Harry's bday on the 18th - 77 years!! And we had a fun family party in the Cultural Hall in the Church - and it was perfect - plenty of social distancing available for the 18 of us!

I can't get center align to align the photo above this - and I'm not sure exactly when in December it is Peter Gilbert's birthday - but Happy Heavenly Birthday Gilbert!

And Happy Anniversary to Matt and Eliza on the 27th. That was a fun year - Christmas, a wedding, New Year's - lots of celebrating!!

 Center Align is way out of wack!! Happy Anniversary to Bonny and Bruce on their actual wedding day the 15th, Happy Birthday to Bobby, Happy Birthday to Mary, and Happy Anniversary of the wedding reception for Bonny and Bruce on December 22nd, and Happy 54th Anniversary to us!! 

Hopefully we will have some fun festivities to report for the month.

Happy day to Isla!!

 That cute Isla is 12 today!! How can that be - but she is in 6th grade at Santa Fe, runs track, has been studying Chinese since Pre-K - so she is definitely growing up!!

Hope it's a happy day - and the best year ever!!

Happy Birthday Harry W!

 Harry W. shares a name - and other characteristics with his dad - also Harry! 

There are lots of Harrys in our family - but only one Harry W. - and we are grateful for him - and want to wish him the happiest of birthdays today!!

 We love Donna - she is a big part of all of our lives - and she deserves the happiest birthday ever!!

Happy Baptism for Rhoda!

 It was a lovely three weeks in Paris with Hannah, Robbie and family. Something is amiss with my computer and the photos on my phone have not synced with the computer.

So you will have to take my word on the success of the baptism - and enjoy some other photos from the adventures we had!

It was great to be with everyone - especially Rhoda!!

Happy day to Dad!

 Happy day to my dad on November 7th - the day Woodrow Wilson (1916) was elected President of the United States. 

He told us that every year on his birthday.

Happy 8th to Rhoda!!

 I do not have many photos of Rhoda that are immediately accessible - so this one will do. We are heading to Paris to celebrate Rhoda's 8th birthday and her baptism - so I will do a more extended version when I return.

Happy Birthday Calvin!

 So the top photo is one of my fave photos of Calvin! His birthday is not until the 25th, but we are heading off for France on Tuesday and I'm not sure how efficient I will be so I'm going with early - and since I'm so often late, it might be a nice change - if anyone even reads this blog anymore!

But happiest of birthdays to Calvin!! Looking forward to seeing you at the holidays - keep being so great!!

11 days of life - a lifetime of memories!

 Today would be baby Jonah's 10th birthday. Seems like a long time ago - and also like yesterday. It was a difficult time, a busy time, a stressful time - but it was also a time of love and sharing and support.

We are all better people because of sweet baby Jonah.

 Seems like a lot of my Deacon photos have Frances in them - and Deacon and Frances are pretty good playing buddies - at least at my house they seem to be!!

Deacon is 8 on October 7th!!

 Bonny has a birthday today!! She is a powerful influence in our family dynamic - and we are certainly grateful for that. She takes her job as the oldest child seriously - and you can tell!!

A friend is worth a lot!

 Tardy with this one - although in my head I thought her bday was today - when I checked the list, turns out it was yesterday! But Norma is one of the first good friends I made after moving back to SoCal in 1979. I read about SMCNS in a local paper and went to check it out. It turned out to be a great fit for our family - and we were involved there for many years.

And  got to know Norma - and even after we didn't have SMCNS to connect us, we stayed connected. And we still do lunch, sometimes dinner with our husbands, and chat on the phone pretty regularly - and text each other clues and comments about the Daily Jumble in the LA Times!

Happy heavenly day!!

 Happy heavenly Birthday to my dear friend Connie Watson Beadle. She's been gone for 3 years now - and it seems much longer. I am a letter writer - and after Connie moved away, I wrote her letters - and she answered them!! Not a lot of people do - they usually just call. The plus here is that I can read those letters now - whereas I can't get a phone call from Heaven! And reading the letters brings back the memory of her voice and her laugh. 

A treasure!

 It all started with Bonny Brae Bolander - and she started the tradition of Bontober - why celebrate one day when you can celebrate for a whole month??

Happy Birthday Harry!

 Happy Birthday Harry!! 11 days past his due date, he was born at 11:45 - so he was almost 12 days late - but definitely worth the wait!!

We have been blessed with wonderful children - and I have lots of happy memories of their childhoods. I especially recall that Harry was a real little pal - and loved to be with me as we shopped or visited or did chores - and he always wanted to hold my hand.

Why do I love that so much??

And Happy Birthday Sarah - and also note the 7th anniversary of the passing of Ry Nebeker - our dear friend and husband of Sarah.

That's what happens when I forget - it's all in a bunch.

I am so behind - like all of August behind!!

 Well, I neglected all the August birthdays  - Grandpa Stevens, Hannah K, our Hannah, Lyn and David, Tom and Joey, and Mom and Dad's anniversary and Helen and Pop's anniversary. But I did do posts on all of them on IG and FB - so if you really care, you can look there.

But the best part of August was heading up to Rexburg and seeing Lyn, Alice and Dale, the Terrills in Logan, Frances and Dee, and gathering for the blessing of our first great grandchild - Ezekiel James Allen!!

Maybe I will do better in September!! Or not!

Sissar Bolander is doing the MTC in Malibu!!

 Esme entered the Malibu MTC in June - and we were grateful to be able to attend her setting apart. It is great to read her letters each week.

And Henry is actually in Mongolia - need to get a photo.

And Phoebe and David have moved to Idaho.

Lots going on - need to get some photos!!

Happy Birthday Annika!!

 Annika has another birthday coming up - this is from her Sweet 16 birthday last year!  So here she is turning 17!!

 Hannah and Robbie celebrated their lucky 13th anniversary in June!! And I love this particular photo of Hannah and Robbie snuggled up with Harry in our bed!!

Anniversaries in June - and other celebrations!

 June was the first anniversary for Ella and Lucas - and we loved meeting little Ezekiel too!!

I blew out June and have almost blown out July!!

 Lars and  his family have been here for almost two weeks - and it has been such a great time for us!! Playing games, sharing meals, swimming in friends' pools, staying up late - it will be hard to see them go!!

But Lars had a birthday in June - and I forgot to even mentions it!!

Our current favorite missionary - until Esme is on board - then they will both be our favorite missionaries!!

 Love hearing about Henry's adventures - he is still working on his visa for Mongolia - but in the meantime he is living the good life in Graham, Texas - teaching and serving and apparently fishing too!
