November 22, 1963

If you are a certain age, and someone says, "And what were you doing when you heard that President Kennedy had been shot?" you can tell them exactly where you were,

and what you were doing. And you've never forgotten it!

Wow, that is another "blast." This south entrance no longer exits since they did the addition to the J. Reuben Clark Library.

You took the photo and I remember holding the paper so we could see the headline on the Daily Universe special addition.

Remember you and I were headed home for lunch when just barely into the stairwell, of the library, we heard the "shocking" PA announcement about Kennedy being shot.

We all gathered at our apt. 50 and made Tuna Fish sandwiches for lunch. We all felt the need to call home and check in with our parents and siblings.

I should dig out my '63 diary and read what I wrote. But that won't happen until after Christmas. Thanks for this "blast."
