Christmas 1998 found us renting a little place in Laguna - it was fun. We have tried lots of locations for the yearly family gathering - we are a big group now, so we are somewhat spread out - that is, somebody stays with Harry and Dawn, somebody - maybe a couple of somebodies - stay at our house - and the "locals" drive back and forth.
I still dream about finding a wonderful spot that fits us all and is festive, bucolic - and cheap!
