Phoebe was a much anticipated blessing in our lives. Bonny kept asking for a baby sister. We finally suggested we fast and pray as a family for a new baby - since we had been trying for awhile. I guess Phoebe thought if she told people we were expecting a baby, I would make good on her assertion!
Phoebe's name means light, and her middle name, Elizabeth, means gift of God. She is certainly aptly named. She was in her little infant seat at church on evening, and our bishop's wife was sitting behind us. She tapped me on the shoulder and said, "The light of Heaven is still in her eyes."
I think she was right!
