Month of Gratitude

After the Sacrament today, Eve leaned over and whispered that the Young Women had made the bread they had used for the Sacrament. She was pretty excited and pleased.

Much has been written of late - at least in LDS circles - about helping women and girls in the church feel a more direct sense of involvement in the running of church activities.  Women actually do a lot of the work, but often do not feel acknowledged.  I was pleased to see the Young Women involved this way.

I have noted previously during the month of gratitude that I am grateful for the Young Women program, but tonight I am feeling especially grateful for the program and the very real, valid opportunities for service that come from wise, in tune leaders.

Let's hear it for the girls!!
