Month of Gratitude

While I am not grateful that John F. Kennedy was assassinated 51 years ago today, I am grateful that we have a strong enough government to withstand such an onslaught.

History has dealt with the man and his presidency with varying degrees of sympathy and appreciation, but he did give his life for his country.  That deserves our respect.

It is easy to be critical of politicians - I often am - but many of those who serve our country are good men and women for the most part.  Those who serve well deserve our thanks.
